We has such a beautiful day today we drove up to Hatcher's Pass which is 15 minutes from my house. What a wonderful day, course now I wish I had a snowmobile.

Here's the link and a few teaser photos Hatcher's Pass Pics (http://www.explorerforum.com/data/showgallery.php/cat/3309/ppuser/9485)

These two skiers were hardcore and traversed the face of this mountain for a great backside powder run.

Can you see them? They are 2/3 up the hill near a rock outcropping

This group was snow shoeing up to an old mine shaft 1500 ft above them the mine pic will follow

And the saddle in the mountain next to them is where this old mine sits 1500 feet above them

I put some arrows and letters noting where things are in the pics
[A] Is the upper mine and [B] is where the snowshoers are

[C] is a high mountain mine, D is a mid mountain center, E is the main mine before it came down in an Avalanche and the circled areas are the mian bunkhouses and processing facilities

Looks coooooold. I'm sick of the cold weather here in Michigan, I'd hate to be freezing my arse off in Alaska! I don't ski anymore so it's not much fun for me aside from sledding and some offroading in the snow.
