View Full Version : Would 4" backspacing be too much? Stic-o 02-19-2004, 11:36 AM May have found wheels cheep but there 15x8 with 4" BS. I wanna run 33x12.5x15's;) Jefe 02-19-2004, 11:42 AM 4" should be fine. As a reference, I've got 15x8's w/ 3.75" BS and running 1" spacers. The lugs will be right at the edge of the fender. . .just enought that you can talk your way into it being completel legal ;) Stic-o 02-19-2004, 11:47 AM Is $40 worth it though? I found some steel modulars. But there way up in San Jose. What it will cost in gas I could just go buy some:( I have to wait to here back on some tires. I also found so 33 MT's for $150 up in fresno which would make it worth the drive. But I don't got 150 right now  Try'n to see if hell trade somethi'n.;) Carl D. 02-19-2004, 11:52 AM Im running 4 1/2 back spacing, and works really good, I have 15x10 wheels. ALLOUTWAR13 02-19-2004, 12:11 PM if i do the TT will it affect my 3.75 bs on my 10.5 tires? N2MUDN91 02-19-2004, 12:36 PM Dont stock explorer rims have 4" backspacing? Im goin for 2.5 :) Shane Jefe 02-19-2004, 02:20 PM Originally posted by Stic-o Is $40 worth it though? $40 for a set or per rim? I paid $45 a rim for my steel wheels new. BTW, I just found one 15x8 steel rim (from when i had 31's  ) in my garage if you need a 5th rim. NOTAJP 02-19-2004, 02:45 PM On the newer Exploders you can get away with more back spacing with the suspension design. You may rub the inner fender a little bit. I have 4.5" bs but on a 17x10 rim and a SAS. The tires just touch the springs at full lock. Stic-o 02-19-2004, 03:17 PM $40 for a set or per rim? I paid $45 a rim for my steel wheels new $40 for all 4. There off a jeep. but San jose...I'll spend 80 in gas at these gas prices:rolleyes: section525 02-19-2004, 03:40 PM I have 15x8 4 5/8 here with no problems. It doesn't look that bad either. |
