hi

i have a 1st gen and would like to pot a new exhaust on it but only have one prob. The thing is i want it to run at optomum power and proformance. So i was thinking about dules 2 1/2's but it sounds like this may be a prob. IS my dream realy a nightmare or is it a dream come true.

p.s. i have a 4" lift and 32 x 11.50 and only two mods to the engin a k & n air filter and noligy grounded spark wires. thanks hope to hear from you soon.

You can go with a bigger exhaust but have to remember about backpreasure. You can't just open an exhaust system and leave it fully open or modify it it so it looses it's back preasure... you'll also loose horsepower and fuel consumtion will go out the roof.

You can go with some nice Turbo exhaust system - even dual system but have to do it with these things in mind. Flowmaster and Dynomax makes nice systems and they don;t really cost a lot. If you some moeny to "burn" go for Borla headers and exhaust system...

Headers? Headman makes nice set of headers... I've got them. And these are pretty inexpensive.

Good luck

factory was 2.25" I believe... can you get it bigger?

make sure you compensate for the size with some open intake...
