My Explorer has now done 141,000 miles. Its still going strong but i've had to replace:

-Tranny (100,000)
- T case (100,000)
- Sway bar bushings (120,000)
-Alternator (120,000)
- New brakes (rotors and pads) (140,000)

The other day the drive belt tension pulley split in two and fell out the bottom of the truck leaving me stranded.

At this sort of age is there anything else that’s going to surprise me? What would be some good things to check for.

may want to get the suspension checked... balljoints, tierods... an alignment performed..... also keep up on fluid changes.. more critical on older vehicles.....
