Anyone out there running Pirelli Scorpion A/T's? I've heard some good things and some bad things, but I've had good experiences with the Pirellis that I've owned, so any info would definitely be appreciated. thanks

I used them for my winter set for 3 seasons. I thought they were great. They were great in the snow, rain, and dry pavement. They seemed to have excellent wear, but I only used them for roughly 15K mi. They were really comfy in all kind of eather but a little bit noise in dry pavement. I inflated with 26 lbs for on road (mod. 235/75/15) couse with the suggested 30 lbs i jumped like in a monstertruck. i give this wheels 8.5 points AspenX 03-04-2004, 09:21 PM I used to have 30x9.5 on my X. No complaints at all. Great on wet streets and snow. They were good offroading too, just weren't big enough.:D I would have no worries about buying them again, in a 32 or 33 this time. KodeBlu 03-05-2004, 08:24 AM I have them also. I picked them up just before the Ford / Firestone fiasco. I love them...I have not had any problems with them and I highly recommend them. alphabets13 03-06-2004, 08:10 PM gotta love the 31's! http://www.explorerforum.com/data/503/8559exhaust_001.jpg recluse 03-09-2004, 10:34 AM I went with the bridgestone dueler a/t revo instead. I love the tires so far, but Ive only got about 4000 miles on them. Good grip on road and off, and I hear the scorpions are just as good. Willet 03-13-2004, 12:55 PM I had some 32s on my Dakota 2WD. Put about 35-40K in highway miles, plus some offroad in dirt and sand. When I sold the truck, had maybe a little less than half the tread left. And they performed real well offroad for me. Skeets'91EB 07-02-2004, 04:53 PM This is good news to hear, because I think I'm going to order some 31s in the next day or so for my 1st gen, along with some Ultra Rocas :D. I'm glad that people have had good experience with them in the rain because I've had some hydroplaning issues with my Generals. I was considering Revos, but these are a better price. |
