This is an older Pro-15 motored Maxx that I bought for my brother. I gave it to him for his 35th birthday!

It now has a Megatech .16 motor, Traxxas blue pipe, wide-maxx suspension with black springs, steel chrome rollcage and HPI Savage tires.
Last, and best of all, it has a remote starter via the 3rd channel!

I would love a setup like that for me and my son. With a F150-350body of course. How much does it cost with all that good stuff?

Go to www.towerhobbies.com andshop around. The Traxxas T-maxx is about $400 and is RTR (Ready To Run). The Stampede is a fun 2wd that is less expensive and comes in either electric ot nitro versions. Duratraxx have some nice trucks that are less expensive than Traxxas ones. I went with Traxxas because the aftermarket is HUGE. they make anything you want for these.

I like the Nitro trucks better than the Electrics. The motors are pretty sensitive to the weather and are a pain to tune once in a while. After a while you will get used to tuning and it won't be a problem. If it is your first experience with RCs, then it is best to stick to an electric powered one. They are more user friendly.

Check out www.traxxas.com and browse the forum for lots of info. It's a great hobby, but it can get pretty expensive if you don't control yourself.

The Maxx above probably has close to $500 into it altogether, and mine (The Crowdpleazer) is over $500. Keep in mind that I can't leave anything stock and always have to have more!
