I searched this problem but didn't find much adieu about it, so now I am asking everyone in here...

My driver's side keypad on my 99 ex, is not working...the interior lights come on, my key fob thingy opens them, but the keypad does not...it also does not lock the doors with the standard 7/8-9/0 depression...

Now what I need to know is, how do I remove the keypad so that I can clean out the contacts? I think that may be a problem since I am on a lot of dirt roads and figure that may be the culprit..

Or,...if that is not, has anyone else seen this problem and know of what the heck is going on>????

get inside the door
look up at the back side of the key pad, you'll see a metal clip on the left ( toward the center of the door )
get a long pair of plirers and slide the clip flat outward toward the center of the door.
Push out
there is a tab on the left so you need to go out somewhat diagonal.
There will be a connector down by the intrusion beam, undo that first.
