WHAT????? u guys are lucky. Here in South Orange County its $2.27 or higher for regular. And at 12 miles a gallon im constantly putting money in my tank.

I paid $2.06 for 92 last Thursday at Texaco. AMPM is $2.02 but I don't trust them. Our prices aren't too bad, but gas everywhere is a rip off.

There's a Exxon on Eastern Avenue on the east side of Baltimore near 95 that is competing with the Amoco & Royal Farms down the street.. I went by there last night and it was $1.67. Up by my neck of the woods, there's a Shell & Citgo that are selling for $1.73 & $1.74 respectively.

Cali, is always the worst!! I know on my route in Tysons Corner in the Northern va area near Dc, it's around $1.89, but little further south in Va it's around 1.67-1.76 per gal for reg, Plus is tipping $2.00,, Thinking of getting a Pirus,,!!!!!!!!!! Just went up 0.10 as of yesterday to 1.69 in Altus OK.

$1.89 today at Exxon for 93 octane (had to fill up the Miata). It was $1.69 for 87 octane.

Ri and Ma major gas stations are averaging $1.79 a gallon for regular. There are sites on the web to go on and also tv stations that give the lowest priced stations for gas here in RI & Southern Ma. The lowest I have seen lately or was reported on TV was $1.62 for regular.

Proof? When gas goes up the gas alwready paid for that is in the ship tankers, truck tankers, gas terminals and in the gas station tanks are alwready paid for at a lower price but they RAISE that price as soon as Opec announces higher barrel prices.
BUT when gas goes down they will sell every drop of the gas in the ship tankers, truck tankers, gas terminals and gas station tanks BEFORE they drop the price of gas.
I have a feeling that we AIN'T seen nothing yet!

I usually put in 89 octane because I get better mileage with 89 than I do 87 so make that $2.23 per gallon.

EDIT: Overnight the prices jumped to $2.15 for regular, $2.25 for midgrade, and $2.35 for premium.

EDIT AGAIN: As of 5/7, prices jumped again to $2.19 for regular, $2.29 for midgrade, and $2.39 for premium. Looks like I'm going to have to go back to regular at these prices.

This is the very FIRST time in my life that I have seen any gas go over $2.00 a gallon in Texas. Today I saw premium for 2.09 a gallong. This is totally outragious. Bush better do something and quick, or he won't make president next election just for this very reason. Gas prices are a hot issue for this election after everything that has happened. Regular gas is $1.79 and rising and that's the "cheap gas", not the branded regular grades.

Man these gas prices suck. I'm going to be driving a U-Haul 2100 miles from Texas to Florida, and at 8-10 mpg, it's going to be a costly trip. At least the group will be reimbursing moving costs.

On my way out to Texas a couple weeks ago I payed 2.14 for DIESEL:eek: I can't see how the independent truckers could possibly make a living at that price.

The good news is that here in El Paso we can still find gas for $1.65 a gallon for Regular. Premium is around $1.90, so still not too bad.

I imagine right around now is when a bunch of chips are being removed from cars/trucks so that Premium is no longer needed!

Yep, we have two huge refineries here in El Paso. One is Chevron, but I'm not sure about the other. Probably just a private label gas that is sold to the highest bidder. :p

We are currently paying 1.88 for regular - 2.05-15 for premium unleaded in Louisville.

They have a conspiracy here. The prices go up almost in unison on Thrusday night and then lower almost in unison Tuesday morning. Sometimes as much as .20 a gallon! The state attorney general has looked into it and said that they are gouging, and every time there is a news article about it they stop for a couple weeks, then right back to the practice.

So were looking at close to $200 a month for just my truck to go to work, and it's only 15 miles away. :roll: Lucky my wife only drives her Ex 3 miles to work. So it takes her about a month to go through a tank.

I think I need to get a second job to get to work! :mad:

I hear ya Tom! My uncle mike use to live out here and he owned a '91 Toy 4X4, and a CBR 950. He use to ride the CBR to work all the time beacause he went from the Covina area to LAX area every day. He really hated it when it rained. :rolleyes: Have to get get up early to take the truck to work.

Well, it's now over $2 here in El Paso, which is pretty bad considering it's made here. Actually most of hte gas that is made here is shipped elsewhere, and the gas we use is imported from Mexico. Go figure.

Phoenix gasoline prices soared to an all-time high overnight, jumping 5 cents per gallon, to $2.15, for regular on Tuesday.

The price of crude oil, the chief component in gasoline, closed above $40 per barrel Tuesday. It's the highest price since 1990, setting the stage for even higher prices at the pump.

Well if its any consolation you are still paying only a third of what we have to pay even at these high rates. $2.15 /us gall = £0.315 / Litre . We are currently paying £0.829 / Litre.

I wish I was paying what you guys are paying . Here in Manitoba we are paying $0.879/per liter which works out to about $3.32can a US gallon . Its about 3.78 liters to your gallon .

My parents just got back from a trip to Norway, and they said gas was just around $4 per gallon. Also, Norway produces all of its own petrolium products. Gas is just more expensive over there.

Ona side note, becuase of hte exchange rate, a six pack of beer in Norway costs $24. That's right, FOUR DOLLARS a can. :eek: Be thankful for the cheap beer and gas we have here in the states!!! :us:

Paid 2.25 for Prem today... This is getting crazy. I heard on the news yesterday while I was home sick Gas would spike the first weekend in June to about 3.00 dollars a gallon then go down. They said if anything happens to a refining station or a tanker. we are F$%cked for lack of a better word.

It was up to $2.10 for 89 octane here today, $2.00 for 87 and $2.20 for 92. Man I'm glad the company I work for buys my gas.

Just came back from Las Vegas. Prices for unleaded regular there ranged from 219.9 to 229.9. Glad I only had to buy 1 tankfull.

Filled up the Miata again today, and I paid $2.11 for Premium. 87 octane was $1.91. It seems strange to pay $21 to fill up a Miata that had over 1/8 of a tank left. Good thing I just made the last payment on the Explorer, I might need that extra $365 a month for gas! :banghead:

Just paid $2.35 for 89 octane. I love how the price of crude oil dropped today but gas prices jumped 6 cents/gallon.

In Woodinville, WA Arco yesterday it was 2.25 for regular, and thats usually one of the cheapest places...

I knew gas would start coming down sooner or later. So, after the price per barrel of oil hit a record high on Tuesday, the price dropped by $2 yesterday after the Saudis planned to pump more crude oil out of their country in spite of the on going terrorist attacks and threats on their soil.

This has been shown at the local Liberty stations in Harrisonburg, VA. After regular unleaded hung at $1.89 since Monday, May 17th the price per gallon dropped $0.04 to $1.85 today. I expect it will continue to fall until it hits around $1.69. Then I hope the price will remain constant through the summer. Don't forget, however, that the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia is one of the cheapest places to purchase gas in the United States/.

We're now paying 2.25 -2.35. - 2.45. Prices are still going up here and in fact they just predicted another .36 raise in prices.

in the san jose california we are only paying 2.25 and it has stayed gthat price for about 3 weeks

I think South Carolina might have the lowest taxes on gas. I know we're generally some of the lowest averages in the nation. I paid $1.81 for 87 at the Racetrac yesterday. If prices drop back into the $1.65's I can live with that. Heck, it can be $1.55/gal for the next 5 years and I won't complain. I remember back in high school when Clinton wanted to tap the national oil reserves b/c gas was $1.58/ga :rolleyes:

My thing right now is that I was planning on driving home (Charlottesville, VA) for memorial day and couldn't go b/c I can't afford the $115 in gas just to get home for 3 days. I'm trying to decide if i can afford driving home for the 4th of July

At the cheapest station in town the highest it's been is $1.93. Now that same station has dropped to $1.74. So all around here gas has dropped about .15 to .20.

well the prices have stayed the same here. $1.999 is still the cheapest but is too far a way $2.019 is what i pay near my house.

$2.09 at the local no-name. $2.14 at Shell.

It has stayed pretty consistent around here at about $1.99 a gallon for the past two or three weeks. Hoefully that'll be all it goes to.

$1.92 a gal. independent. $2.05/2.10 name brands,and they write and ask me why I'm not using my gas cards?

Razor - I hear you, CITGO and Shell FINALLY are leaving me alone. I got a AAA card and get 5% off at EVERY station. I try to shop the "cents off" days at various stations. Refueled last night and paid $2.07 pump price for regular- came to $1.96 net w/ the AAA card.

Paid $2.34 at a Shell Yesterday for regular :rolleyes: Wish they would go down. :(

We have been holding steady around $2.05, we haven't dropped or raised for about a week.

Hoefully that'll be all it goes to.

I got a AAA card and get 5% off at EVERY station.
Triple A gives you 5% off! Wow! My SpeedPass only gives me 3%. Time to switch. It comes to a point where every little $ counts.

In my area, it has stayed the same for about 2 weeks now. I'm taking another trip to Jersey tomorrow, time to fill up there where Regular Unleaded is 20 cents cheaper @ $2.03

Gas has been dropping here. $1.89/gallon; at Sam's it's $1.84 with a card. Rumor has it it will go down more. And I agree - if we can keep it in the $1.40-$1.50 range, I'll be happy.

paid 2.05 on monday to fill up and just filled up at the exact station and paid 1.89 :)

Back down to 1.87 a gal regular after going as high as 1.97 on Memorial Day.

2.01 here in mass. dont know if will go up or come down. Whats with the AAA giving 5% off at every station??? I have AAA+ and i have never heard of this. i will def. use it if I can whenever i fill up. is this true or a rumor?

Down to the upper 1.70's. But I hear that fuel oil, diesel and airplane fuel are going up due to short supplies.

We were as low as $1.69, but PA increased their gas tax and the prices are going up anyway. We're at $1.89 again (sigh).

$2.10 for regular - Valley Springs, CA .... Grrrr, and thats after coming down from 2.25, its going back up already though
