I am looking to get the newer style "limited" emblems for my 96 Limited.... I believe ford switched to the new lettering in 98. I am trying to find them in Chrome.. not gold. Are the 98-01 "limited" emblems all gold? how about the new explorers?

My 2001 Emblems are more of a gunmetal (titanium) color.

I believe that they are the color of your flares (sports are silver). I would just go the dealer and see if they have them in chrome. Then you can shop around later for a less ridiculous price.

I think in 98 that all emblem letters were chrome.

'94 - Metallic grey on the sides (in the accent trim) and no emblem on the back, which is I think what you're looking for.

My emblem is GOLD colour

I think it varies depending on the color of the truck, but I think they're all a matte finish not shiny chrome.

I'm sure they could be chromed...
