I've been having trouble with my door locks for a while. At first it was just the drivers side lock, but now the pasenger side is messed up too. The problem is that the Key doesn't work in the locks anymore, except for the back hatch. If I have to lock the X, I have to use the key to get in the back hatch, use the power locks button in there to unlock the passenger side, then use the inside door handle in conjunction with the power lock button to open the driver side. Has anyone else had that problem and does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

P.S. A quick response would be helpful, I am tired of leaving it unlocked all the time, and sometimes I go to some shady places.

I had the same problem after using keyless entry for so long. Try some WD-40 inside the lock and on the key...that unfroze mine after several applications.

Is it not locking with a key or when you push the power lock button? If its the key, try spraying some graphite into the locks. I would check the power lock button on each door with a multi-meter.
Yup, my 98 Sport has the same issues. First the driver's key lock (opening), then passenger key lock (opening). Graphite did not work for me. WD40 worked great. Last about 6 months. When it starts to stick a little, re-lube the locks.

Spray WD-40 on the door latch mechanism itself. I had the same issues and ended up replacing the drivers and passenger door latch mechanism. The part was only $30 per door, but you have to peel off the interior door panel and undo a lot of components. Probably took me a good 2 hours for the drivers side and 45 min for the passenger side (big learning curve).

Thanks guys, I will try the WD-40 thing, and see what that does. If that doesn't work, I will replace them, I need to go in there anyway, Drivers side window track came off

I was finally able to free my passenger door lock with lots of WD-40 and graphite, but haven't gotten my drivers door free yet. I think I need to get a cheap spare made and break the corrosion free. I don't have any spare keys and don't want to break my only good one and have to get a $75 replacement. I always use the key pad to get in. I can't even seem to get my rear door open.
By the way, which way does the drivers door turn to unlock it, I know the passenger one turns to the left to open, is this the same as the drivers? I would think it would be, but it just seems ass backwards to me.
