I have a 2001 Ranger in which I installed an Explorer full length console. I just have to say the cupholders suck, atleast the big one that sits farther back. Anyways, are the cupholders any better in the one that has the built in ashtray in the front?

Not really. Get use to it. lol. I always have my hand on a bottle or a can whenever I turn so i know that thing won't tip over.

The oversize rear cupholder in my '01 Sport has a rubber insert that reduces the diameter down to fit cans and bottles better. Taking the rubber insert out leaves enough room for the Bladder Buster 2000 from the local Quickie-Mart. I do wish both cupholders were a little deeper, but my Ex has rear seat ventilation controls, so there is an air duct below the cupholders in the center console. If you don't need the duct, maybe you could modify your console to make the cupholders deeper.

anything for 94 XLTs cause those cup holders aren't, more or less a shelf... if there isn't anything aftermarket I might fab something up cause I already have 2 coke's from Wendy's soaked up in my hump carpeting
