yeah i bought one of those cans of engine cleaners and was wondering if they were bad before i use it. I want my engine to look good, but not at the cost of a poor running motor. Does anyone have any tips, favorite brands, etc about this topic. Do they even work? thanks.

will it screw up anything tho. LIke prematurely dry out hoses or whatever? The stuff i bought is called GUNK foamy engine brite. Anyone use it before? should i wipe the engine down after i put this stuff on or should i just hose it off. BTw, can i take that stupid shroud that on top of my engine that says sohc 4.0 or whatever? i dont like it.
