Ok i have no idea where this question should go...so if your an mod and thinks it should go somewhere else please correct my mistake :). Anyway here's the situation...there are two Krogers shopping carts in our dumpster. I think these could make a nice roof rack (yeah work will be needed haha). I'm looking for opinions/suggestions...basically i'm asking you all to fire up those creative minds yall have and throw out ideas! The look similar to this: http://premiercarts.com/images/Recondioned/CS_Unarco85.jpg

One could be a safari roof basket with very very tall sides. The other can be used as one of those hitch mounted cargo carriers.

cool idea about the hitch cargo basket. I was thinking a safari basket too...but i'll be doing alot of cutting and reassembling so it looks like a normal basket.

actually the stores pay major bucks to get them back, perhaps enough to buy a real roof rack, do the right thing, are not yours.

I used one HomeDepot cart and the one I used is very different from the carts you guys are talking about. But anyways, here's the thread:

Those carts cost the stores big bucks, they turn the other cheek when street people live out of them, sort of like mini homes, the cost of what we buy say at wallys will go up as carts are lost, take them back, you do not own them

just to clear up any misconception...i did not take them...they are in the dumpster of my appartment, i'm pretty sure the guy who works there has taken them. I'm not even sure if they came from krogers, they may have come from another little store down the road.
