My 96 xlt has a periodic miss. It has it at flat idle to full rpm......... I have cleaned the mass airflow sensor.....replaced plugs and wires........replaced egr valve...checked pcv....cleaned air filter......changed fuel filter......what else???
any advice would be appreciated before I drive it off a cliff......

Try cleaning the IAC and if that doesn't work, try replacing it..

I changed the IAC about a year ago after it started making a whining sound............thx for the advice.....any other suggestions........

Does it seem to use more gas than it used to? If so I'd check the fuel pressure regulator.
