I have recently had a problem with the ABS activating right before the truck stops completely. I really have no use for the ABS, so if I can just disconnect it that would be easier. Someone here has to know how, and if I do disconnect it will it cause any other problems?

I just pull the fuse for mine. You'll have to look up the number in your owners manual. I do believe mine was 14 inside the door.

what i did was disconnect one of the wires going to the ABS sensors. that turned it off for me and now i dont have to worry aobut losing a relay in case i need to reconnect it.

If I unhook one of the sensors, will this make the abs light come on? Will it damage the computer in any way if it remains on? Or ever make the brakes not operate? All I would need to do I guess is take the abs light out? I need to replace a spindle but can't find one for abs, but I find many that are non-abs, so I think I will just not have abs anymore...

I'm sure it'll stay on whenever a sensor is not connected. I just recently got everything back together (spindle and all that) and now have an ABS light. I think I'll just take out the relay. On another note, it seems it's taking longer for me to come to a stop, is this because of the ABS or is the caliper just settling? It was off the rotor for a week.
