RangerX 07-12-2004, 08:49 AM That's easy. :) All 1st gen Explorers, (91-94), came only with a 4.0 OHV, BW 1354 T-case (Mostly electric, but some had manual), a front Dana 35 TTB, and a rear 8.8. Nick26 07-12-2004, 12:00 PM check out http://www.therangerstation.com if you scroll down they have a ton of links to nicely organized info on the main page... LouisianaZJ 07-12-2004, 06:19 PM cool are all the v8s AWD? section525 07-12-2004, 06:22 PM Some are 2WD. LouisianaZJ 07-13-2004, 07:58 PM Which years came with a SFA? 90-94? are some IFS? Nick26 07-13-2004, 11:18 PM all are a type of ifs in one form or another. 91-94 has a ford twin traction beam (TTB) (much better for offroading and easier to do a solid axle swap on) and 95-2001 (4doors) or 2002 (sport 2dr models) have a torsion bar IFS with independant control arms and rack and pinion steering. (basically a big car suspension). They all have solid leaf sprung rear 8.8 axles though. |
