Does anyone have a link or know what t-case/engine/ axles are available on early to mid 90's explorers.

That's easy. :) All 1st gen Explorers, (91-94), came only with a 4.0 OHV, BW 1354 T-case (Mostly electric, but some had manual), a front Dana 35 TTB, and a rear 8.8.

all are a type of ifs in one form or another. 91-94 has a ford twin traction beam (TTB) (much better for offroading and easier to do a solid axle swap on) and 95-2001 (4doors) or 2002 (sport 2dr models) have a torsion bar IFS with independant control arms and rack and pinion steering. (basically a big car suspension). They all have solid leaf sprung rear 8.8 axles though.
