Well I decided to replace my factory speakers with 6 1/2's. I made up some brackets and mounted them. I needed to drill a few new holes in the front doors to make it work. Got them installed and great new sound coming from the speakers.

Then the horror when my window will not role up. I had them down while I was putting the speakers in. Took the panel and speakers off and to my stupid surprise I have drilled through something next to the speaker holes in the door and it looks like it controlls the windows. Looks like it might be the motors, but I am not sure. What is the things next to the front door speaker holes that has to do with the windows. How hard is it to replace etc... I live in Florida so the afternoon showers could get me any time now.

It is a 96 2dr sport 4x4.

Please help.

Just don't put the duct tape on the paint...you could ruin it ..new paint is more $$ than the actuator you drilled....

Can you get a picture up of what you drilled?

an btw.. i wasn't trying to be a smartass. sounds like you destroyed something and need to replace it which you can't do right now so i'd cover it with something in the meantime.
