How many qts does my 93 4x4 tranny hold?

I put in 12 quarts in our '92 4x4 with an a4ld when I replaced my torque converter. Since I had that down and the valve body, I'm pretty sure the system was practically empty.

I believe the 93 4x4 holds an even 10 quarts.

I got this from the Autozone specs page...

TRANSMISSION (CAPACITY) 9 QUARTS

** WARNING ** THIS IS THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF FLUID NEEDED FOR TOTAL REFILL WHEN REBUILDING TRANSMISSION. (MAY REQUIRE 1 TO 2 ADDITIONAL QUARTS TO TOP OFF)
(1) ADD FLUID, THEN WITH ENGINE AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE, SHIFT THROUGH ALL GEARS.
(2) PLACE IN PARK.
(3) CHECK FLUID WITH DIPSTICK AND ADD AS NEEDED.

so between 9 and 12... I have an external tranny cooler and an external filter (I Know my external filter holds about 1 quart)
