Hi all

Yesterday morning there was a bit of dew on the windshield so I turned on the wipers to clean it. They went up and down one time, then tried a second time but stopped halfway up. Since then they have not been working at all anymore.
When I try to turn them on I can hear the relay clicking but nothing happens. Any idea how to fix that ???

the wiper motor is probally bad.

on a 92 explorer right?

First thing is check to see they didnt just get hung up, are frozen.

Next thing to do is check for power at the motor (mounted on the firewall, near the brake master cyl) then pull the motor and see if you can move the wipers by hand (checking the linkage to ensure it works smoothly)

After that you can determine if it is the motor or not, but like stated above if you hear the relay, it is likely the motor.

Mine did this as well, turned out to be just a few bad wiper relays. I replaced all three and the wipers work like new. (cheaper than a new motor)
