Well I took my first trip off-roading with the Explorer and the 5.5 inch lift with 33x12.5 BFG Mud's, and stock 3.55 gearing. This trail is normally considered a 4x4 easy-to some moderate. I have been a passenger on this trail once, and it was not to difficult then no big obsticals in the way. This time when I went there were two places where some large boulders fell onto the trail. Some of the people that had been there before me stacked up enough rocks in order to make it over the boulders. So I stopped and had my spotter get out, I got out checked things out said well I guess I will give it a try. So I started over nice and slow and started over, I got the first tire up on the large boulder and over then started to kick up the rocks and dirt with the front right tire. Eventually I got over the boulder but not without some white knuckle and leg shacking. This was a shelf type of situation a nice step ledge to go falling down the mountain. http://www.4x4central.com/ubb/smile.gif I made it over, and got a few pictures of the process, which hopefully I can submit to Rick or something. http://www.4x4central.com/ubb/smile.gif
On a technical note, I have noticed the need for new gearing, and probably will be getting that installed sometime this month along with a rear ARB locker.
Well enough of my blabber about how neet it was to get off-road now that the snow is sorta melted.
