:D Why didn`t I think of that?
Cool, my boots are all finangled and keep coming apart and stuff, and the plastic is cracked. That`s a good idea, instead of buying new.

Premier 08-24-2004, 08:52 PM Nice. Send me one, I need the boots too :D
Kris Guilbeaux 08-24-2004, 08:58 PM Well if I find a place I can get the T-case boot from I will make another. But it would cost about $175 for me to make another.
Premier 08-24-2004, 09:05 PM Why so much?
Kris Guilbeaux 08-24-2004, 09:09 PM The material is Aluminum, cutting it out. Polishing it. Mounting boots and buying boots. Took me at least 4 hours to make it.
Premier 08-27-2004, 03:59 PM If this includes the boots, IM IN! Otherwise its a bit too much for me :)
Where did you get your boots? Any suggestions for me?
Kris Guilbeaux 08-27-2004, 08:00 PM the t-case boot came from an auto Tranny Truck. If your for sure interested, Let me know and I will try to locate a few more boots.
Premier 08-27-2004, 08:06 PM Ugh.. Damnit... Yea, im interested. I would be able to send you the boot off of my tranny to replace one that you would attach to the aluminum. So all you would be out is a t-case boot, and the aluminum/time. Let me know how much that would be shipped.
Premier 08-31-2004, 10:32 PM Installing t-case tomorrow. Let me know Kris. I need something asap. Also I cant seem to get the damn ball off the end of the manual shifter!?
briwayjones 09-01-2004, 07:24 AM Looks good. I've never seen an X with a manual shift 4wd. Is that a mod or did some actually come with a manual shift? We've had Xs '91 - '03 and they were all automatic shift.
Kris Guilbeaux 09-01-2004, 07:46 AM Sorry Premier I didnt get a post that you replyed. I would not need your Factory boot for the transmission. I can get those free at the yard. It looks like I would have to buy an auto tranny boot from ford I will get a price on that part and get back with you. It takes me about four hours to make it. as I have to drill and polish the aluminum.
Premier 09-01-2004, 04:52 PM Ok, cool. Just let me know on a total price. I really dont want to spend more on it than what I would pay for a new set from Ford($230+).
Kris Guilbeaux 09-01-2004, 07:23 PM I doubt it would be more then $230.00 But once I get a set price I will PM I should have a tolal cost by Friday.
Ok, cool. Just let me know on a total price. I really dont want to spend more on it than what I would pay for a new set from Ford($230+).
