Hi guys.

A friend of mine has a 92 Chevy Astro EXT AWD, and he wants to know if there's any way to disable/disconnect the AWD option, so I wandered it was a good idea to ask if any of you know.

Is the truck sending power to all wheels at all times or only when it senses some tire slipage?
Is there any button or lever?
Do you know is if there any web site where he can go look for some info on this?

Any help would be appreciated.

My sister has one of those vans(a '97). As far as I know it only transfers power to the front when it senses slippage. I am not sure though, I have not read up on it. Not sure about a website. There should be an explanation in the owners manual though.
