I have a 92 4WD STX Ranger. The manual-adjust outside mirrors fold back at highway speeds. I've taken them off, but can't find any adjustment to tighten them up. Any suggestions other than buying new ones?

I've taken them off, but can't find any adjustment to tighten them up. Any suggestions other than buying new ones? IKE 02-26-1999, 12:04 PM JB, I had the same problem on my 92 Ranger Sport. I tried injecting epoxy and then super glue into the bottom where the mirror pivots in hopes of tightening things up. That didn't work. I replaced the drivers side at 50,000, but at 120,000, not surprisingly, they folded flat over 60 mph. Part of the problem is my 85+mph runs across Illinois, but I think it's ultimately just another case of poor engineering...
