OK, does anyone know the real deal on this subject. Alot of people have said and I always thought that the front suspensions on these two vehicles were identical, but some of the manufacturers say that the I-beams are not the same. What gives here ? How can I find out the truth ?

Ranger 4.0L and Explorer are the same (Dana 35). All other Ranger engines used a smaller front differential (Dana 28). The carriers (and I believe I-Beams) for D28 and D35 are different sizes.
