I hear central coast mustang is the only place offering a T5 conversion for Rangers. Is this true or does anyone know of another place.

Btw, I am not looking for a v8 swap kit, only a T5 conversion for a '95 4.0 Ranger Splash. Thanks in advance.

Hi Troll,
do a search for RangerX, then email him. He's pretty sharp about stuff like that.

Troll,
Before you even email me, I have no knowledge of a T-5 conversion for Rangers, but when you find some info, post it! I'd be interested.

contact Advance Adapters, www.advanceadapters.com (http://www.advanceadapters.com) if they don't have one already in the works, they could probably make you one. Another option is to have a local machine shop make you an adapter plate for the bellhousing and modify the tailhousing.

Ranger X,
I called Central Coast on Friday, as they were testing the T5 kit on a 91 Ranger. If all goes well he said it would be for sale in a month. Hopefully.
Paul,
I had talked to Advanced adapters before and they had no such kit. I hadn't talked to them about a custom kit. That or going to my machine shop would be a little over the price I want to spend. Thanks anyway.

They have one for a 2.9L and as far as I know the 2.9L and the 4.0L have the same bellhousing on the transmission. The problem would be getting the correct tailhousing for the T-5.
