Hello all!

I've been lurking here for a while and have gotten a lot of great ideas for my X. I'm going to be adding a lift soon and going to 33" tires (prob. Baja Claws). I'm pretty set on the MT Classic Lock rims & like the look of the 17's.

Any thoughts on the pros & cons of going to 17's? I know I'll loose a little sidewall when I air down, but is 2" really a lot? I live in Baja & run mostly on the beach & out in the desert, but I might like to join on some of the trail runs in So. Cal.

Thanks in advance for your help...

17" alloy rims might get damaged if you actually wheel them, thats why wheelers usually stick with 15s the 17s also will probably be more expensive to find tires for and replacement rims should yours become damaged

All the trucks around my area use 15's for off roading. Some are lifted with 17-18's, but these are more for show than function.

I guess I was just thinking about it because the new X comes with 17's. But I guess that should tell me something right there

Now that I found out how cheep the steel Rock Climbers are, I might just get them...

I'd get the 17's.

33's on 17's will have the same sidewall height as 31's on 15's.
