Hello again,

I have an old Turner base station mic that I'm trying to get more info on. Anyone who might know who I can contact or if YOU know something about this mic, I'd be gratefull.

The base of the mic is 5" x 3.5".
It stands about 8" tall.
The body and coiled cord are Turquoise.
It has stainless or chrome trim around the mic screen.
It's obviously a power mic, as it has a place for a 9v battery on the bottom, and a "0-20" knob on the top of the base.
On the center of the mic screen, it has a small decal that says "TURNER +2".
On the front of the base, there's a push-to-talk bar (black plastic), that says "SSB+2 TRANSITORIZED"

I see no other place for serial or other numbers. Don't see where a s/n or nomenclature plate ever was on this.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there, I used to have a Turner +2 mic that my buddy gave me. He used to use it for his CB base station back in the 70's. I got it and used it for my ham radio setup for awhile. It was hooked up to a Kenwood TS400S/AT radio. It worked fine. I upgraded to a Shure Bench Mic and sold the Turner at a Hamfest. The Turner +2 was a very popular Mic at one time.

Ron..
Thanks for the reply. I figured this desk mic was from the early 1960's, judging by it's design and appearance. (They made a big deal about the word "transistorized" on the push-to-talk bar!) Any idea if this could be used for a Ham or other type of radia? Where's a good place to advertise it, and any idea what it's worth?

Thanks
