My 2002 Explorer XLS 4x4 4-door needs new tires. What's the biggest size tire I can get on it with out lifting the truck? Thinking of going with the 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo.

I was going to go with those 265/70/17 REVO's, glad I didn't. I purchased 265/65/17 REVO's, these just fit and they look and ride Great. Actually make the truck look bigger and you sit up higher. Good Luck!

My guess is they have 17 inch wheels. 2002-up explorers came with 16 inch wheels, but had an option of 17 inch wheels

You will be perfectly fine with 265/70R17's. I have them on my 1995 explorer with no lift! They measure in at just a hair under 32 inches, and im using the same 17" wheels you have. 2002 and up have way more clearance than 2nd gens.

I know you can go bigger even still... there is a picture somewhere on this forum of a guy who has 34's on his 2002 XLS with no lift.
