I just took out my instrument cluster to replace some bulbs that blew out. I can't figure out how to get that little piece back into the rear of the cluster that shows what gear the transmission is in. It is a white plug with an elastic wire running through it. It sort of popped out when I took the cluster out so I didn't see how it came out. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hmm, I replaced my stock indicator with a white one from an '02 and remember it popped in and out pretty easily. I believe there were some tabs that hold it in place. You just push the unit into the cluster and it snaps into place.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. If it helps, I am a horrible mechanic and I found it pretty easy to do. If the loop at the end of the indicator (the part that attaches under the steering column) came loose, it's a bit more work, but it's pretty easy as well. I found other threads discussing the gear indicator, so you might want to search the archives for help as well.
