Manual, auto,

My hubs are locked there stuck blah blah blah blah WTF are they? :fire: :fire:

I'm reading way to much about hubs to not no what they are

MY GUESS: Hubcaps? I have no clue help me out here guys

I'm more into i guess u could call it cosemtics of cars and making them look nice Talk to me about engines and i'm pretty much clueless except for a few things

Hubs are not hubcaps. Hubs are basically what connect your front tire to your front axle..... This talk of auto, manual hubs only applies to first gen's. On later explorers the hubs are always engaged.

Hubs are on 4wds....basically they are a lock that connects the front wheels to the front axle to change from 2wd to 4wd. Manual hubs have to be manually locked from the outside, by twisting them. Auto hubs are electric.
