My friend is wanting to lift his 00' Explorer a little... Were gonna TT in the front and either Warrior shackles or these 2" blocks i saw for 30$s at advanced auto parts... I know blocks are a no no but what are the advantages of the shackles... My friends on a budget.. Also his 00' doesnt come with any tow hooks of any kind... What do you guys suggest for this... I almost ripped his bumper off last time he was pulling me out... Thanks -Dave
Can't use blocks. Explorers are SUA (Spring Under Axle), which means putting in blocks will lower it. You'll have to go w/ shackles or AAL's (Add A Leafs). The shackles are cheaper and will do the job. As far as tow hooks go, just get some good strong hooks, drill some holes, and put 'em in.

welcome to the site... the springs are sua, so blocks wont work, they will lower the truck..... shackles are fine.. they will lift the rear end about 2" .... also add a leafs will help if its a 4 door explorer..... both the shackles and add a leafs are about the same cost...

Of course not.
