I have been searching around looking for a light bar, like the safari bars Warrior makes for Jeeps, but for my 97 sport. has anyone seen these around? I don't want to go with the big basket roofrack, just want a single bar.

look for a manufacture called Carr they make all kinds of light bars. The ones for rangers 93-97 will fit the explorer as the doors and roof line are the same. You need the non-rain gutter style mounting hardware for it to work. You will have to drill two holes in your cab on each side, behind the door weather striping to mount the hardware.

yeah I love the Roto Bar made by Carr. It allows me to go through the car wash with out worrying 'bout my lights, I just turn them down before going to the wash.
