Where is a good place to order some castor/camber shims? I have had all four of my ball joints replaced and now the front end sits like a baja truck. Thought it would be ok if i rotated my tires every month but that hasnt worked out and its eating the inner tread now.

Napa, Carquest, the alignment shop.....

I prefer Moog brand shims, they are the best quality and design.
You running any lift?

Sounds to me like you just need an alignment. If you are not running any lift and its just stock then it needs to be aligned. You probably don't need to replace the shims. When i did my balljoints my tires were sitting funny too. I had to adjust the shims until they were sitting right, but ultimately it has to be done at a shop that has the proper equipment.
For shits and giggles, are the tires sitting like this /--\ ? And who did the balljoints?

um Pep Boys did them replaced ball joints and put them in since i broke 1 torque wrench and 3 3/8 ratchets and yes they sit like /--\ and i have no lift and am running 31x10.50 bfg at/ko's. cant you buy the shims and do it yourself?

if your tires are like / \ then you need the shims... they shouldnt be that bad.. you could probably do it yourself but its not going t obe as accurate as the machines they use... alignment machines run anywhere from $70000 on up!!!!

Yeah then if thats the case the new shims are required, although that is kind of odd. No lift or front end mods and they can't align it stock? Seems funny to me. And no i would not do it yourself, i mean you can put them in and give yourself a quick alignment just to get you to the shop, it may save you a few bucks installing them yourself but do get an alignment once they are in. Changing the camber/caster adjustment shim will change your toe-in so watch for that when they are installed.

When I got new tires last year I needed an alignment and the shop (Firestone) indicated I needed different shims or they wouldn't be able to align the vehicle. I told them OK and they got the parts and had the vehicle aligned in the same amount of time. It cost a little more but the alignment was good. I am thinking if you paid Pepboy's for an alignment then they still owe you that if your wheels are not correct. I'm am suprised they didn't offer to get the shims for you and do it right the first time.

well i was going to put them in myself and then take it to get aligned professionally...they said i needed shim to correctly align them AFTER i got them aligned but the way they were aligned they said just rotate your tires every month and you should be ok, but no. Although i will talk to them about the mistake on thier part. They will align the vehicle no matter what only thing that will stop them is a bad ball joint.
