Hi, I have a 2 door Sport. 1991. I would like to change speakers and a stereo. But I don't know what to start out with. Because all the truck is to go back and fourth to work. But I don't want to get both at the same time, all I want is more clarity and more volume.

Hey i have a 2 door sport 4x4 too. Nice trucks. I would upgrade the speakrs first. Hey you can have a kicking stereo, amp but if the speakers can't handle it, what good is it, right. I have Pioneers 6x8 in mine. Three way up front and two ways in back. The sound is good. I also have a pioneer cd player and pioneer amp. Hey i like pioneer i guess. I would go spakers, then amp then stereo. My stereo has 45 watts x 4 but it sounds better with a amp. Hope this helps. Later...

Before anything else get a New Head Unit. Your Head Unit is basically going to dictate your entire system. If you get a good amp and speakers but your shitty stock head unit doesnt have (for example) RCA Plugs, etc... you wont get the optimum sound out of your system. Go for the new Clarion Head Units. They are built for competition level sound and have plently of options for the hungry sound vultures out there........like me =-Þ

I would change the speakers first, and then head unit, you didn't mention amps so the stock head unit should be fine until to get to that point. New speakers would give you more clarity and a new headunit would give you more volume and clarity, then add a amp and sub get more bass and power.
