Anyone out there actually bought these $200 panels? They look like an exact fit, but I'm hesitant on forking over the dough and need to know if they get abused by getting stepped on, and whatnot.

If you get them, try looking at www.mmxpress.com (http://www.mmxpress.com) as well. I think their prices are competitive as well, and they have very good customer service. They are an exact fit, but if you're a person like me who rests his left leg way to the left, then, yeah, they will get in the way a bit. Don't worry so much about you as much as your unknowing friends and family members that might nick them though! http://www.4x4central.com/ubb/wink.gif One of my friends kept having to put new tweeters in his car, cause he like them with the grills off. Everytime a person stepped in the car... "Hey, what's this.. a button?" "No!" (all in slow motion of course) and the tweeter was smashed inwards. http://www.4x4central.com/ubb/frown.gif

The kick panels are pretty sweet. I went to a shop and tried them on. They are an exact fit. The only problem is that for 95+ models, the e-brake needs to be moved over about an inch and a half. me and my neighbor underwent this project and it's a B**ch. Almost not worth it, but I had some free time. Explorer Express here in the bay area sell them for $175. Good luck.

One more place to try: www.audiophiles-online.com (http://www.audiophiles-online.com)
Q-logics for 139.99!
If you get them, dampen them with some dynamat or something, it'll help out the sound. If you could seal them to make a mini enclosure, it would be even better, but that's sorta difficult.
Good luck, Jon

Get some decent speakers gentlemen. Try the NEW Competition Phoenix Gold 12"! I have one in the rear in a single closed box and it rocks! Powered by a mini chrome competition Phoenix Gold amp. Thats all you need to make your explorer rock! Well, unless you wanna get SERIOUS!

So the jist of everything is that these kick panels ARE worth the money (except if you own a '95 Ford Explorer) and to add Dynamat and maybe some rubber sealant around them to help with acoustics, ok, I got it.
Thanks
