I have a 95 explorer expedition model. It has the jbl system. I tried to play a cd from the factory 6 disk changer but I got a "no dj" message. It did play one time but 99% it gives me the "no dj" message. Can anyone help? Can this be fixed? Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know the answer but a guy I know with a ranger has the same thing happening.

Eject the CD cartridge and try putting it back in. Sometimes the stock cd changer gets PMS and it doesn't want to acknowledge the cartridge.

thanks for the advice. I cannot get the cd magazine to eject either. One time it just came on and worked, both cd and hu, but now all I get is the no dj message. Thanks again.

You probably got a coin stuck down inside or something. Take the changer out and open it up and see.

If you can get the cartridge out, I would replace it. There should be a small opening on what would be the bottom side. You insert a stylus and trip the release mechinism. Another trick is to spin the disc in the jewel case to shave off any burrs on the hole, so it wont hang on the lifter mech. Make sure the cartridge is in straight.
