I hear ya. I listened to our local "classic rock" station for the first time in months recently and remembered why I went XM.

Personal preference. XM used to be cheaper, but that changed yesterday when XMs new rates kicked in. Sirius probably has better sports coverage (except baseball) of that's what you want. I scored XM for the music, and I like it for that. A lot of the channels Sirius look great too, but I don't see much of a difference overall.

I did for the same reason too. But now that they're equal, and I have the equipment, I'm sticking with XM. Plus I like my little Roady ;)

Agreed. No use changing. XM is pretty much entrenched in my car (and my wife's) . Now that XM Online is "free", it's entrenched in our PCs too.

I just signed up for it online. And I can get any music to play, just says loading media. :fire:

It comes down to personal preference, I chose Sirius because I felt they more of the music I liked to listen to than XM did. Oh Monmix.. You need to do something about your avatar everytime I see it I think it's Lindsy's truck... I'm going to start calling you Tuna Jr. :p

I went with Sirius becuase I like a good road trip and I LOVE them

I've heard it can be picked up in Alaska just fine. The official word is that XM isn't available in Canada either, but it works great.

Did you ever solve the problem? I ran into the same issue today. With some Googling, I found a solution. You need to change a setting in your Windows Media Player.

If I recall, Tools->Network, then "HTTP" and change settings for that to something like "do not use proxy server". Close Media Player and Browser, then load again and XM should work. It did for me.

Sirius wont give up the NFL package too easily.
