Just wanting some feedback on one of these motorcycle carriers. Does anyone have any experience with? Are they as convienent as they look? Are they stable enough? and so on... I'm getting a new YZ250 and was thinking this would be perfect for going out to the dez. I have a trailer already, but this would give me more freedom as far as off road travel is concerned. Any feedback would be great! Thanx...J

I was looking at those too, but think that I would stay away from them. I was wanting one for my sport bike, but a trailer seems more reliable, and can be used for other things also. Even if they waranty the product, doesn't mean that they will pay out for the HUGE damage to your bike if it does fail. I would say stick with the trailer.

riding is really popular around here and a lot of people use them, so they can't be that bad

as long as it will support the weight of the bike then i dont see why it isnt a good idea..... must make sure your hitch can handle the weight too though......

Only thing is you can't get into your gate when you have a motorcycle on the back.

No experience BUT you gotta watch the steep aprons on the driveways or the steep bumps in the dessert. you will bottom out the Carrier. It sticks pretty far back behind the back wheels.

My hitch can handle the weight fine, I welded that baby to the frame when I started pulling my travel trailer :D Gate is def not an issue in SoCal...lol...unless your fancy smancy rich. As far as bottoming out... a utility trailer with small wheels would sit much lower. I'm lifted, and sitting on 32's so as long as I watch the steep a$$ grades...I should be fine.
My biggest concern is the overall strength and stability of the carrier. Thanks for the input guys! If no one has any first hand experience with one of these..I guess I'll be the ginuea pig...lol. They are pretty cheap, like $200...so if I'm not happy with it, at least I'm not out much. I'll post info on the carrier once I've taken it out a few times...for anyone who might be interested later on.
