Hi, first post here. Just found this site searching online for help to a problem I am having.

Does anyone know how to install the pivot bolts to a Sport Trac? I bought a bed extender off ebay back in January, and just got around to getting the bolts that the extender attached to from the dealer this week. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to attach them. The hole in the bed for them is not threaded.

The pins are self tapping, you need a #50 torx bit, put some oil on the treaded part, go slow and straight, in about a 1/4 turn back it out to chase the treads than in again anouther 1/4 turn until all the way in.
Or if you have a 3/8s /16 tap use that
