We bought a 1998 Explorer a few years ago from a private party, and it didn't have the owners manual. This morning my wife called and said that a warning light came on. She described it as a Gas Pump with 3 drops next to it. Since we don't have the owners manual I can't look up what this means.

Does anyone know?

Check the gas guage. If she was running it really low, it will throw out a indicator light on the instrument cluster.

That light means diddley. It's meant for diesels. Is an indicator of water in the fuel system. It is not hooked up in US explorers. The dash panel is just a generic and includes a few extra idiot lights....

Thats wierd i had the same light come on very dim. I looked through the owners manuals and it didnt even show the light on the instrument cluster. Maybe the sun hit it just right and made it look like it was on. Well least i know that nothing bad was happening.

Well I have Mine come on Everytime I get Real Low on Gas... When I fill her up, it is gone..
