i am rollin on some stock 93 explorer alloy twist rims, i was thinkin about either coating them black or chroming them out,
Does any have pics of there painted stock rims, on a 1st gen?

As in chrome do you mean dipping them or painting them chrome? I would just go buy some new rims, a lot cheaper than dipping and last longer than a paint job. Rock Crawler series 51's are like $50 bucks a rim in black...

Oh, and I would get chrome for your X. They would stand out real nice...

Yeah, chroming would be better than black (or another color). They can do some crazy things with chroming now. You can pretty much get them to spray on the chrome now. I saw it on some show. He even chromed a nerf football. Pretty cool.

I like the stock look but, I tried escape wheels on my 1992 4x4 and they didnt fit because of the backspacing.

Well they are steel instead of alloy or chrome. Thats why they are so cheap. But I bet the steel ones are tough! :)
