I tried to run a search but couldnt really find anything. So I was wondering, what do you think the best street tire is out there? This is for mostly on road driving. This will barely be used, if any, off the road, and if it is used off road nothing too bad and not for very long. I would like it to be very quiet on the road with a very smooth ride. What does everyone suggest?

Before we sold it, we had a set of BFG Radial T/A's on my mom's '97 Expedition. After we added those tires, it literally felt like it was glued to the road. It handled extremely well and you could go through very tight curves at much higher speeds than before. If I had a street truck, that would be one of my first choice in tires.

I've got Goodyear Wranglers on mine now. They grip damn good. Pirelli also has some nice street tires.

Really the BFG radials t/a's? I knew that BFGs were awesome offroading brand but with the street? I figured there was another brand that was designed awesome for the road...

I like the Toyo Open Country's that I have on my 02.. Got them for a really good price and they handle pretty well.. I don't hear the road noise on the inside of the cabin of the explorer but my brother in law said they do hum when I went by him on his bike.. I like the tread pattern of these better than BFG..

for a street tire, the Firestone Indy 500 is a very nice on road/performance tire the BFG T/A Radials are also a good choice

1010tires.com gives review points and comments, it's a very good site to research on.
