im just wondering if drilling out the center on some 17" cobra rs would make them weak??...i want them to put on my 1st gen and i have to drill it out casue of the hub

Don't do it. Swap to 2wd.

i think it would make it too weak, there just is not that much metal in the center

I feel your payne, I wanted cobra r's on my first gen too, but I can't give up 4 wheel drive around here.

Yeah I want a set of those too, I live in vermont so 4x4 is sometimes a good thing to have. How much is really needed to be takin out so the hubs fit?

A hell of a lot. I've seen one person with drilled out rims. They look like crap and have no resale value.
