I was in wal-mart the other day and saw a pretty cool set of tires with a nice aggresive tread. I was leaning towards bfg or pro comp but at $103 for the 31".. its making me want to reconsider. My biggest questions are... will these last as long as a bfg or pro-comp m/t ??? will they be much louder? and overall... is the $30-a-piece price difference worth it? or should i spend another $120 more for some other tires... keeping in mind ill only have these tires until i put on a body lift and want some bigger rubber... so let me know what you think!!! Thanks!!!

Below is the link to the tire.. sorry about the quality.. but i scanned the ad. its the *super sport h/t* on the left. also is the optional tire protection plan:

One thing to be careful about is that Walmart and many other tire places may not put "oversized" tires on an Explorer. They look pretty good though.

I'm sure it all depends on the walmart, but my local walmart did this for me when I needed my 35's mounted. Good luck! You may want to do a google search on those tires to find out if anyone else has opinions on them.

if yer jus keeping them till u get a body lift get the cheapies. when u get yer bigger size that u plan on keeping get some better ones (bfg mt's). they don't look bad at all and should be 1/2 ways decent. they'll atleast be better than any all terrain. and don't bother risking them maybe not mounting them. tell them its a ranger or something. y take the chance

I was at walmart about 2 weeks ago and they had a set of 33x12.50 General Grabber MT's for 94 bux a tire. I damn near bought em.

Looks like a Goodyear Wrangler knock-off. My buddy had a set of the SuperSport BFG knock-offs.... they didn't last worth a fart and cupped real bad on him. Can't speak for that particular tire though....

I had Walmart put on my 32's and balance them, and they didn't say anything, other than "Hey, nice truck!"

fyi you can get bfg-at's for that price.....find the lowest place around that sells them then go to sams or sear...both price match plus take a little more offto get the lowest price..i ended up payin around 104 a tire for mine.

i actually have 2 of those supersports HT's.

i had them on my old f-150 and then dismounted them and had them put on my spare set of explorer rims.

they are obviously louder then an AT tire, but for an HT thats hella good tread on there!
and boy do they grab on dirt and gravel....but spin easy on pavement.
i myself am gonna buy 2 more so i actually have a set of 4 after my crap at's run down to nothing :D
