Would it be possible to put rims from a Lightening on an Explorer? I saw an Expedition with them on it this morning, looked pretty cool.

Thats why we settle for stang wheels. Mine are for sale ;) xxScapegoat 04-25-2005, 04:53 PM wow i was thrown off.. i thought he wanted to change the color of his rims or add light to them =| my bad SilverBullet 04-25-2005, 06:41 PM Lightening rims are 5 lug though.. at least the ones I see on Ebay. The ones I saw on the Expedition were 5 lug, too. performancenut 04-25-2005, 06:42 PM Lightning- 5X135 mm Explorer- 5X4.5 in. So, they are not a direct bolt-on. You can however purchase adapters which attach to the Explorer lug pattern and have studs that fit the Lightning pattern. Adapters are expensive and can even loosen under routine use. I lost a rear wheel during travel several years ago with extender/spacers and would not recommend using them for obvious reasons. "Hey guys, I got this idea... I was thinking I'd remove half of the spokes in my wheels. That should lower my 0-60, right? :D" |
