View Full Version : Will White 18" Cobras Look to Ricey? PICS!
off-road97Xplor 04-25-2005, 09:01 PM Ok first off, I've been on this site long enough to use the search feature and not ask dumb questions, so don't say use the search. :cough:Robb:cough: :p
Anyway, I have a gloss black 1997 Explorer. I original wanted 18" Chrome cobra's but Boomin is selling White ones. ALOT of ricers at my school have white rims on there honda's.
So, do you think they will look good, bad, ugly, great, ricy, out of place....
Let me here your feedback.
Here's a pic of them:

Use the search.
:D . Why don't you post a pic of your explorer so someone on here can photoshop them onto the truck?

Haha your a funny one ;)
Anyway, I don't have my digital camera anymore so I can't post pics....BUT The main point of this is all I ever see is white wheels on white explorers. ( by the way, looking great todd  )
So, if anyway can please photoshop white wheels on a black second gen explorer you would have no idea how much this would help me.
Thanks
P.S. Anymore thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

off-road97Xplor 04-26-2005, 04:08 PM I know I'm being alittle particular but $1,000 is alot of money.
Is it possible to make it glossy?
Thanks for that by the way.
And do you like how it looks bobby?
Bobby Locs 04-26-2005, 04:10 PM I'll try and make it glossy for ya, after all it was a 30sec photochop, and I think they would look great on it..
bmxking5 04-26-2005, 04:11 PM From Bobby's photochop, I think it looks really nice on there.
FROADER 04-26-2005, 04:17 PM I don't like the white wheels on a black car. It doesn't look ricey, but to me it looks "cheap".
Bobby Locs 04-26-2005, 04:18 PM Maybe this will give ya a better idea.... Again I think they would look great..

The wheels look silvery but I got a idea better of what they would look like.

JDraper 04-26-2005, 08:07 PM For anyone wanting wheels, ya might wanna check out emustang.com . This is CJ Pony Parts website. Go to their on line catalog and type "wheels" into the search menu...they have just about anything you might want at relatively decent prices.
off-road97Xplor 04-26-2005, 09:04 PM IAMTodd- Thank you very much man, you don't know how happy I am that I found this site with so many great people. By the way, thats a photochop right?
JDraper- thanks for that site, they seem to have great prices and wheels. Maybe I didn't mention it, but I started this thread because Boomins selling his white cobras and I'm not sure how they would have looked.
techieman33 04-26-2005, 09:08 PM Why pay $900 for white cobra r's, get some off of ebay, they usually run around $400-$500 a set.
IAmTodd 04-26-2005, 09:09 PM No, she wanted to try out the 18X9 on her's before I put them on my truck. So its actually on there :p

Because these have the proper size tire.

Sad thing is its the tires thats the expensive. The wheels you can get on ebay for around 600$ after shipping. For DECENT tires your looking atleast 150$ each. Then 75$ for mounting and balancing. Do the math ;)
