View Full Version : Opinions needed!
adarkang 04-26-2005, 05:24 PM I am going to get my BFG's 32x11.50x15 put on tomorrow. They are going on 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic II's. I wanted to get some opinions of what would look better on my truck. Should I get WHITE letters or BLACK letters?

FROADER 04-26-2005, 05:27 PM That's personal preference. You're going to get both answers on here. I'll be the first to say don't put the white out. My preference. :)
metstalker 04-26-2005, 05:37 PM and i will be the first to say the white on the outside looks sportier
adarkang 04-26-2005, 06:01 PM I think I am leaning more towards black but I have always had white on both of my explorers. Then again I never had a lifted explorer until now!
FROADER 04-26-2005, 06:36 PM go through the galleries and check other explorers out and see what you like better.
Redrig 04-26-2005, 10:18 PM White letters out. Heres mine if it helps at all.
LOGJOCKY 04-27-2005, 12:25 AM i love the white out. just u need to clean it to keep em white and shiny
collkid 04-27-2005, 04:57 PM i'll say white, they attract attention to the tire it self. nice tire needs the attention
adarkang 04-27-2005, 05:32 PM Well I went to Discount Tire today and had them put them on. I got the BFG's 32x11.50x15 with the WHITE lettering showing. I must say they look awesome. While they were balancing the tires they let me trim the front bumper and the running board flares. I was amazed they let me do this. I think I got a decent price on them. I payed $520 out the door. Thanks for all the opinions! I'll post pics as soon as the weather clears up.

WOW, for wheels and tires? That's a great deal!
Post some pics
adarkang 04-27-2005, 07:36 PM No it was just the tires. I got the wheels from summit racing
jimbo74 04-27-2005, 07:59 PM go black out.... the white looks good for about a week, once the tires get dirty, the white will never look white again and will look nasty....
off-road97Xplor 04-27-2005, 08:01 PM go black out.... the white looks good for about a week, once the tires get dirty, the white will never look white again and will look nasty....
Agreed, it also gives you a sore shoulder trying to scrub the letters clean.
Black out looks much better. If you go off road the white letters get scuffed but regardless the black looks better.
Nate1 04-28-2005, 09:50 PM Look at performance/luxury cars. Do you see any white? That should tell you something ;)
Brandons 04-28-2005, 09:55 PM Depends on the vehicle i would have to say. I would get the white facing out since most of them would have the white facing in, so when you turn its even worse then having it on the outside since you can see the label then.
dont quite understand.....
302Xplorer 04-29-2005, 09:28 AM Try both and see which you like better. I am installing my revos this afternoon and I am going to go w/ the white showing.
adarkang 04-30-2005, 03:44 PM Well Here it is sorry for the delay but weather has been kind of crappy!

JohnnyO 05-01-2005, 04:36 PM Looks good. Scrub 'em with Westley's Bleach-White and top that with Armor All.
bmxking5 05-02-2005, 12:00 AM Looks good. Scrub 'em with Westley's Bleach-White
Yep, that's what I use and the white letters still look brand new, even after all the mud that has sat on them for days at a time. I agree, the 32s fit perfectly
96limitedX 05-02-2005, 12:44 AM i use SOS pads..best thing i have ever used. they look great even after a year. i use them on my dads good years with white letters also and his tires are 5 years old and they look brand new.
