When accelerating the accelerator pedal has a slight vibration till about 40ish then it goes away. Anyone have this and it is just normal? I know my way around an engine and i'm lost on ideas of what that could be. Also my horn doesn't work. When I went to look under the hood i couldn't find the horn? I expected it to be near the headlights or behind the grill but found nothing...any help would be appreciated.

Check your u-joints in your driveshafts. They can cause an acceleration vibration problem. Good luck.

You think that would make the gas pedal vibrate? Its not like a vibration on the whole truck, just the gas pedal. I will check them out though

im stumped, but i'll throw out what i know,
the only way i can think the pedal(only the pedal?)would vibrate, would be due to an engine vibration. this was true on my '69 c10. the throttle was made up on linkages and rods, and im sure the explorer uses a cable. so i dont know how the same thing would be possible. but then again, the bb396 shook the entire truck.

It seems very light and almost unnoticable on a bumpy road. It is not shaking like my foot will fall off but it is noticable. I just want to know if it is serious or not...

Roughness and vibration coming from under is what I´ve had ever since I bought my explorer 4 years ago. It has 70k/m Checked all shafts and u/j changed and put new tyres all round . Problem is exactly the same. Lately it got worse. It is a thumping sound coming from the tyres or the shafts. at about 30 m/h it is at tyre rotation frecuency and has nothing to do with the motor. It´s like a wheel bearing was broken. Very rough vibrating sound yet incapable of knowing where it comes from. I lifted the back wheels and made them turn but sound does not come fron back end. it comes from front end. I will lift the front wheels too to try see or hear where this annoying sound and vibration comes from. Does any of you have a clue of what this could be the cause? Thanks in advance. Cheers Richard
