Paul Gagnon 05-01-1999, 11:32 AM If you take off the wheel and look at the back side of the centre, you will find the size of the wheel. It will be stamped into a steel wheel or cast into an aluminum wheel. ------------------ Paul Gagnon www.geocities.com/baja/canyon/8253 (http://www.geocities.com/baja/canyon/8253) Keith 05-01-1999, 05:42 PM I have a 97 and they are 15x7. wildman 05-03-1999, 11:44 PM it's depends apon the rim design ford made 2 different rim sizes in the 16 range for the explorer 16x7 and a three star design 16x7.5 My friend runs 265 70 r16 on his 97 sport 4X4 tech1 05-04-1999, 07:31 AM Thanks Pual! it's 16X7 ExplorGM 05-05-1999, 06:54 PM My 95 Sport has 16x7" wheels. Rick ------------------ RickG 95 Explorer Sport Expedition James 05-08-1999, 11:43 PM Hey ExplorGm, what is a explorer sport expedition?. I have a 95 explorer sport that came with 235/75/15 tires. Do you have a body ift to fit those 32's under it. I've heard that 31/10.50 won't fit under mine. 31/9.50 will. How did you get 32/11.50 under it. Don;t they scrub. I have 30/9.50 now. bridgestone dueler A/T. wildman 05-09-1999, 12:35 AM The Explorer Sport Expedition is the top of the line sport model . It has such things as 4.10 gears and the bigger v6 . You won't see any badgeing on them referring to this model on the truck but, it does exsist in the shop manuel . Oh and by the way you can easly fit 31.10.50 on your truck I have another friend who has a 2wd sport and he's riding on my old 31's . ------------------ Tree what tree Paul Gagnon 05-09-1999, 01:34 AM Actually wildman there is Expedition Badging on these. I saw one of these today for the first time. The Expedition name was in the place where you would normally see Sport on the back name plate. I am guessing that the one I saw today was a 96 because it had the urethane fender flares and the round tube running boards and the Expedition became it's own model in '97. Other than the Expedition badge I could not tell any difference from any '97 Sport. But then maybe the running boards and the urethane flares are part of the package because I thought those were only available '97 and up. Ford probably dropped all other variations of the Sport in '97 and kept all the Expedition options on the Sport. Does anyone know for sure? ------------------ Paul Gagnon www.geocities.com/baja/canyon/8253 (http://www.geocities.com/baja/canyon/8253) Mike 05-23-1999, 05:14 PM I have a 91 explorer xlt 4x4 with 265 75 15 tires with no rubbing and better handling than the 235's. |
