Was thinking about getting a supercharger, maybe I'll just get this instead ;) The pics are beautiful!
boominXplorer 07-12-2005, 03:07 PM yeah i might get one too then. I need something a litter faster than a mounty on 35's ;)
aldive 07-12-2005, 03:08 PM They rejected my $113.76 bid .... :(
GJarrett 07-12-2005, 03:19 PM Something doesn't add up. Who would put a GT up for bid with no reserve? No one.
huskyfan23 07-12-2005, 03:19 PM But they started it at $45k+ over MSRP :p
GJarrett 07-12-2005, 03:28 PM And how can a seller know that the first bid is going to be that high when he originally posts it for sale? Still doesn't add up.
...... I did think of one person who would put something like that up for sale with no reserve; a really pi$$ed ex-spouse whose name happens to be on the title, lol

Bids are not accepted below that starting one.
bmxking5 07-12-2005, 03:31 PM Because that's the starting bid. The seller knew that it it sold, it would be atleast that amount or more. So basically that price is the cheapest way a buyer can get it for. Did you think that it was started lower or something?
jobunn 07-12-2005, 03:34 PM I would buy it, but unless I could increase these specs I am not sure it would suit my needs.
Approach Angle (deg): 9.2
Departure Angle (deg): 14.0
:p
FROADER 07-12-2005, 03:41 PM $195,000, curious to see what it will go up to.
TheFox88 07-12-2005, 06:20 PM I don't think that i've ever seen the doors open on one before. I never realized that they had the funky over hang thingy. Oh well. Why would you want to sell one anyway? Something doesn't add up...
BigDave!!! 07-12-2005, 06:24 PM that thing looks amazing but im about 194,000 dollars short...maybe next time :p
TheFox88 07-12-2005, 06:26 PM that thing looks amazing but im about 194,000 dollars short...maybe next time :p
LOL! That's a good one!
JDraper 07-12-2005, 06:30 PM Dang, I'll have to check my change purse to see if there's enough left for this one...... ;)
BigDave!!! 07-12-2005, 07:17 PM LOL! That's a good one!
haha, thank you i try :D
GJarrett 07-12-2005, 08:38 PM Okay, I'm learning.... you can tell I don't do much ebay :D
Xzibit A 07-12-2005, 09:20 PM But they started it at $45k+ over MSRP :p
but they are selling for like 230-240 at dealerships 220 if you find a good deal, and 195 sounds like a really good deal.
thanks but i already have one. :p
CDW6212R 07-12-2005, 10:35 PM Great pictures though, I could afford those. Let's wait till the Kenne Bell upgrade kit comes out, and the recalls are completed. At least it has K&N filters, Night.
thanks but i already have one. :p
Not talking about matchbox cars mcG :D
Brian_B 07-12-2005, 10:41 PM Maybe he/she is getting out because of all the recalls. That has to lower the collectors value of it.
huskyfan23 07-13-2005, 02:06 AM They say it's never had a plate, so it's probably a dealer.
BigDave!!! 07-13-2005, 10:54 AM it would have to be a recall because why would somebody sell a car for 195,000 when they could get 220,000-230,000....i dont get it
91EX4x4 07-13-2005, 11:26 AM I have found my new desktop at least :D

It's eBay, you start it at a price and people bid. Starting it that high would probably yield 0 bids. It probably wouldn't sell around there so he's trying eBay.
BeauJ 07-13-2005, 03:29 PM I only had $76 in my coin jar :(
Brian_B 07-13-2005, 03:31 PM $76 is close to two tanks of gas. Not to bad. :D
Xzibit A 07-13-2005, 06:13 PM just because its a recalled vehicle doesn't lower the value, it just means the owner needs to take it to a dealer and have them perform a service or replace a part on the vehicle that has been known to cause problems, its nothing major, like the f150 recall where people are saying their houses are burning down, all we do is repalce the crise control swith and it takes about 2 minutes.
Brian_B 07-13-2005, 07:12 PM I agree for the most part, but bad publicity will lower the value of almost anything (because of public opinion) even though its been repaired.
Look at our explorers and all the bad press they got over the firestone thing. U-haul won't rent to us, we cannot buy larger tires at a lot of places, or even better ones of the same size. There is not a lot of aftermarket support because companies are afraid of liability issues. I just got two more recalls on my X a few weeks ago. After enough recalls and the value goes down in the public eye.
This is supposed to be a new super car and its getting recalled already? That has to be scary to people who spent over $250,000 to collect one.
Xzibit A 07-13-2005, 09:25 PM its also the first car of this kinda that ford has alot of the recalls are with the suspension from what ive seen which is all brand new. and the 2 recalls on your truck are probibly the driveres side seat bolt one and the cruise control throttle cable
Brian_B 07-13-2005, 09:32 PM The recent ones were yes. There is a list on alldata for mine though. All of them were apparently performed before I bought it though, as I checked the VIN against any new recalls.
Nate1 07-13-2005, 09:53 PM Think twice
http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12529-1677058,00.html
I hate to say it, but it sould like almost the same old sh!t city build quality from Ford. Only, you get treated better... thats about it.

The author's primary complaint about the car was that it had a crappy alarm system....a crappy aftermarket alarm system.....
There’s a very good reason for this. I genuinely believe that some machines have a soul and I can’t bear to think of my Ford sitting in a warehouse now, unloved and unwanted. It is fine. It is perfect. It knows it’s a great, great car that was ruined by a useless ape who fitted a crummy aftermarket alarm system
I don't see that as a crappy build from Ford......
00XLS 07-14-2005, 02:08 PM I enjoy under place bid it says "get low monthly payments"
huskyfan23 07-14-2005, 02:17 PM The author's primary complaint about the car was that it had a crappy alarm system....a crappy aftermarket alarm system.....
EXACTLY! I read something aboot this and the places that convert the cars to meet EU standards did the install.
And I don't think Jeremy Clarkson cares for American cars anyways.
Nate1 07-14-2005, 10:48 PM Are you kidding, he is often partial to American cars. If he had a bigger hardon for the GT he would be kicked off the air. He likes the new CTS-V. He likes the viper. He does point out the shortcomings of the cars.
I would think that he would be blaming someone other than Ford if Ford was not responsible for delievering a working GT. I have a feeling it was Ford's job to get the car up to EU standards, but whoever did it dropped the ball. I think it is pretty sad Ford won't make an effort to get a big league engineer out to fix his car... he's probably the most vocal/influential voice of all things automotive in the UK.
Not that I would be mad if I had a GT or anything... I just expected better from Ford.
91EX4x4 07-14-2005, 11:31 PM "Verdict So good you can have mine
Rating Five stars"
Who wants to buy me a plane ticket and cover the expenses to ship my new vehicle back? :p
If The whole article was about his issues with the gt why would he still give it 5 stars?

He is obsessed with it and always has been. It is his dream car, and when he got it he was sorely disappointed to find it was plagued by problems Ford seems incapable of fixing.
I guess it's kinda like the "never meet your heros" thing.
huskyfan23 07-15-2005, 02:48 AM If it's an aftermarket system why is it Ford's problem? He's probably overexaggerating too. If it was indeed his dream car he wouldn't return it because of a faulty aftermarket system. Get a new one put in, DERRRRR. Crazy brits.
